Major League Gaming to Host Counter-Strike:Global Offensive Americas Minor Championship

Major League Gaming (MLG) is happy to announce the MLG Counter-Strike:Global Offensive Americas Minor Championship to be held at the MLG Arena May 19 – May 22, 2016 with a $50,000 prize pool.

Coming fresh out of the record setting MLG CS:GO Major Championship: Columbus 2016, the MLG Americas Minor Championship will feature 8 teams selected through invitation and Online qualification. The 4 invited teams include Tempo Storm, OpTic Gaming, Selfless Gaming and NRG eSports. The 4 additional teams include 3 that will obtain a spot via the North America Online Qualifier and 1 team through the South American Online Qualifier.

The 8 Teams will begin the Americas Minor Championship in one of two Groups. The final two Teams in each Group will advance to a Double Elimination Bracket. The final two Teams in the Bracket will qualify for the Major LAN Qualifier.
