Introducing the broadcast team for the ESL Heroes of the Storm North America Summer Regional!

The second Heroes of the Storm North America Summer Regional is just around the corner and we have a star-studded broadcast team to take you through the weekend! With a prize pool of US$100,000 and a seat in the Summer Global Championship on the line, this deciding event will be one for the books. Here’s a look at the commentators and what they’re looking forward to:

THE BROADCAST TEAM
• Jake “SolidJake” Kulinski
• Wade “Dreadnaught” Penfold
• James “Kaelaris” Carol

“With the proper coming together of the American scene during Dreamhack Austin, the quality and level of play across the board for the region is at an all time high. Cloud 9 are a team of champions, and as such I expect no less from them than to qualify for the Summer Championship. It’s been a rocky road as of late when it came to the qualifiers, but “My Insanity” are a great example of recently exclusive offline success from Europe and we know Cloud 9 equally show up at LAN. Fueled by the crowd and a new found member in Cattlepillar, I can only imagine their hunger for the top spot is continued.”
• Jaycie “Gillyweed” Gluck

“Dreamhack in Austin was the closest yet we’ve seen the North American scene look in skill level. I’m excited to see how that tournament experience, as well as the roster swaps between the events, will shake up the rankings for the region. Regardless of who claims the second NA spot at the global championship, I’m proud of how the teams have grown, and look forward to seeing the best of our region take on the best internationally!”
• Joshua “JHow” Howard

“The parity in the NA scene right now makes this one of the most exciting tournaments ever. It’s not necessarily because teams have fallen off, but more that the NA scene has taken a huge leap forward in talent and experience. There are legitimately 5-6 teams that I feel could win, yet there can only be one to join Naventic at worlds. Cloud9, Tempo Storm, and Brain Power all have recent roster changes, while some of the other more recently established rosters have shown a remarkable ability to take games off of top teams that used to be deemed untouchable. This is without a doubt going to be an amazing show.”
