Intel® Extreme Masters partners with iBUYPOWER to run LAN CS:GO qualifier

The iBUYPOWER Masters LAN qualifier brings the total IEM Oakland CS:GO prize pool to $400,000

The final four Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams to join the IEM Oakland lineup will be decided at the iBUYPOWER Masters qualifier on November 12 and 13. Live from the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California, eight of the world’s best CS:GO teams will battle in a two-day tournament for a spot at IEM Oakland.

The qualifier will feature its own prize pool of $100,000 and lead into the main $300,000 CS:GO event at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California the following weekend on November 19 and 20. The top four teams from iBUYPOWER Masters will battle IEM Oakland’s eight invited teams in the group stages. In addition to the qualifier event, iBUYPOWER will join IEM Oakland as an official sponsor.

“Teaming up with iBUYPOWER Masters allows us to accomplish a long term goal of ours: a LAN qualifier for IEM with prize money for teams and players,” said Michal Blicharz, VP of Gaming at ESL. “This partnership is an important step towards evolving the IEM model and structure that we want to have in the future.”

“Giving back to the greater gaming community is an integral part of iBUYPOWER” said Darren Su, VP of iBUYPOWER. “We are pleased to partner with ESL and continue to be a part of the excitement that is esports – it allows us to continue our relationship with ALL gamers.”
