Announcement on the Overwatch® MGA 2016 Championship Regional Qualifiers Advanced Teams!

Now with Regional Qualifiers ended, Regional Finals are ready to kick off back to back in Americas, Europe, and Asia.

MSI Headquarters, Taipei—October 13, 2016— MSI MGA 2016 Online Regional Qualifiers for Americas, Europe, and Asia have completed on Oct. 11, 2016. After rounds and rounds of adrenaline-pumping battles, the top eight teams from each region are now ready to move on to the Regional Finals (Oct. 14-21), where they will be competing for the tickets to Grand Finals at Gifinity Arena in London, UK and the chance to claim the Championship title and their prizes from the US$75,000 prize pool.

MSI MGA (Masters Gaming Area) is a global annual eSports tournament organized exclusively by MSI for pro-gamers and teams around the world. Teams from 46 countries enrolled in this year’s event, making it more competitive than ever. Regional Qualifiers have kicked off on Oct. 4 and ended on Oct. 11. Here are the top eight teams entering Regional Finals from each region:

With some of the world’s most elite teams advanced to the Regional Finals, including DetonatioN Gaming Team and KongDoo from Asia, Cloud9 and Rise Nation from North America, and NIP from Europe, the upcoming event is definitely more exciting than the Qualifiers. Bringing this excitement to fans around the world in real-time, MSI has invited popular eSports casters Riku (MSI’s new Brand Ambassadress in Philippines) and Asurai, as well as commentator Jayce Alexander Stewart (Jaeger), to broadcast the entire event together with the famous host Justin Villaseran (Vill).

Regional Finals will start on Oct. 14 until Oct. 21, with Americas to kick off, followed by Europe and then Asia, delivering a full week of nonstop excitement to eSports fans worldwide. Three final teams (one from each region) will be eligible for Grand Finals at Gfinity Arena, London on Dec. 7, 2016 (round-trip flights and accommodation included), where they will compete for the US$75,000 prize pool and the Championship title. The final champions can walk away with a US$40,000 cash prize. Second place, third place, and fourth place will be awarded US$20,000, US$10,000, and US$5,000, respectively.

MSI MGA 2016 is the first for this tournament to hold its Grand Finals in London. MSI will be bringing an exciting event, the latest gadgets, and lots of fun to Gfinity Arena, taking eSports experience to a completely new level for gamers and fans around the world.
