PGL CS:GO Major announced in Krakow

Krakow, Poland is the destination for the 11th Valve Counter-Strike: Global Offensive major, tournament.

The event will take place between July 16-23 and will be hosted at the TAURON Arena, which has played host to esports in the past, when the League of Legends European League Championship Series Summer split finals played out at the 15,000 seater arena.

The tournament will feature the now standard $1 Million prize pool. It will be the first major fully hosted by PGL, however the company did assist in production of Dreamhack Cluj-Napoca in 2015.

Eight teams have already secured a spot at the tournament by finishing in the top eight at the ELeague major in Atlanta earlier this year. The rest will be decided by a series of Minors taking place across June. The minors will eventually lead into an offline qualifier on June 29.
