Fnatic and Cloud9 Lead Group of Teams Set to Compete in the ECS Season 4 Finals in Cancun

The Esports Championship Series (ECS), FACEIT’s premiere Counter-Strike: Global Offensive league, today revealed the final eight teams set to compete in the ECS Season 4 Finals from December 15-17 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun, Mexico. Top teams from around the world will compete for a piece of the $750,000 USD prize pool, including the grand prize of $250,000 USD.

The ECS Finals will include the top four teams from both the European and North American ECS regular season as they look to take home the coveted ECS championship trophy. From Europe, longtime powerhouse teams FaZe Clan, Fnatic, Mousesports and Astralis will make the trip across the Atlantic for the finals, while North American favorites Cloud9, OpTic, Team Liquid and Luminosity will be traveling south of the border to compete for the crown.

All of the teams participating in Season 4 of ECS can sign up for co-ownership in the league and play a role in determining representation on the league’s governing committee. The ECS is providing a collective $1.5M for Season 4 that will go toward the league’s prize pool and supportive funds that will provide player and team stability. This includes helping organizations provide better salaries, facilities and equipment that will improve the overall conditions and welfare for players, while furnishing the ecosystem of ECS with a more structured framework to operate within.
