Game Culture Convention Cruise and Expo 2019 (GACUCon)

Registration is now open for the 2019 GACUCon Cruise, including a new way to pay for this tropical gamer vacation for as low as $43.50 per person a month, based on room type and guest count this month only.

The 3rd annual Gamer Cruise takes place July 14th – 18th, 2019. July 14th being the pre-cruise party in South Florida known as GACUBash followed by the 4 day cruise aboard the Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas accommodating up to 300+ gamers of all kinds.

This effort was in response to hundreds of guest quotes for the June 2018 cruise who expressed the desire to spread the booking payments out without the hassle of manual payments.Think of it like financing without cut throat APR or financial hoops to jump through.

Previous events include Fatal1ty, Greg Street of Riot Games, Niero of Destructoid, Danny Montaner of FaZe Clan, Alienware Computers, Microsoft Aventura, MakeGamesMiami and Indie game developers, content creators and gamers from across the country.

The game cruise sailings include traditional cruise activities such as spas, art galas, casinos and tropical excursions plus a full complement of gamer activities and equipment. Including LAN gaming, board game, console, card game, guest led workshops (Cosplay, Game Dev, etc.), gaming tournaments, virtual reality, scavenger hunts and more plus a selection of manga, comic and fandom content libraries for more leisurely vacation activities. All focused on building memories with friends both new and old along the way.

GACUCon Game Cruise came to life in 2016 when game developer community organizers from MakeGamesMiami and Gametrep wanted to host an annual event for South Florida that could make a more personal convention style experience with emphasis on community. Resulting in distilling fandom events down to the essentials and hosting it aboard a cruise ship. Leaving behind stressful and overcrowded convention spaces in exchange for an inclusive vacation with dedicated event space to enjoy with other like minded gamers and fandom connoisseurs.
