HCT Stops in Sydney for the Very First Time

The Hearthstone Championship Tour (HCT) is bringing even more thunder down under: The next Tour Stop will be in Sydney, Australia. This online-to-offline tournament will feature four online qualifiers to identify the top 16 players, who will then be flown to Sydney, Australia, to play for those crucial Hearthstone Competitive Points.

There will be four online qualifiers to determine the top 16 players. Open qualifiers will take place from Jan. 13 through Feb. 4, and the HCT Sydney finals on Feb. 24 and 25.

Tournament Information

Want to experience beautiful Sydney and play Hearthstone—all expenses paid—in one of the most gorgeous cities on Earth? You’ve got to earn it.

Conquer the Open Qualifiers by signing up for one that you’re eligible for. (Eligibility is determined by your Blizzard Battle.net Country of Residence.)

All qualifier matches are best-of-five in Conquest format with one ban (four decks per player). The full ruleset for HCT Sydney can be viewed here, with the HCT 2018 Player Handbook available here.

The available Open Qualifiers are:

  • Asia-Pacific Qualifier #1, for players residing in Asia-Pacific.
    • Date: Jan. 13 and 14
    • Registration: Completed.
  • Asia-Pacific Qualifier #2, for players residing in Asia-Pacific.
  • Global Open Qualifier, for all Hearthstone players.
  • Australia and New Zealand Qualifier, for players living in ANZ only.

The top four players from each qualifier will advance to the offline finals in Sydney. Flights and accommodation for the qualifying top 16 players will be provided by Blizzard Entertainment.

Prizing

$15,000 USD is up for grabs. More details will be available with the forthcoming HCT 2018 rules.
