The WCS Challenger race continues as we are approaching WCS Montreal! The fourth WCS Circuit stop is yet another chance for the best StarCraft II players to put their skills to the test and compete for $10,000 and 1,000 WCS points per region. Starting August 10th, the WCS Challenger will get underway, so make sure that you’re prepared.

The prize distribution per region will look as follows:

Schedule

As is tradition, the EU portion of the qualifiers will kick things off first in less than two weeks, starting August 10th, followed by NA one week later. You can find the step-by-step schedule for each region below.

EU Ladder

Players must complete 15 ladder games a day between Grand Master League promotion windows starting on Thursday, August 10, 21:00 CEST and ending on Sunday, August 13, 21:00 CEST.

  • Thursday, August 10, 21:00 CEST – Promotion window 1
  • Friday, August 11, 21:00 CEST – Promotion window 2
  • Saturday, August 12, 21:00 CEST – Promotion window 3
  • Sunday, August 13, 21:00 CEST – Promotion window 4

EU Open Cups

Requirements

Players must be eligible to compete based on residency requirements outlined in section 4.4 of the WCS 2017 rules. To be eligible for the ladder race, players must complete 15 ladder games a day during each region’s four-day Grand Master League promotion window.

Starting at the Thursday promotion window, players will be required to play under the name that they wish to use during the WCS Circuit event.

All open cups and play-offs can be found in the WCS section at ESL Play, so don’t hesitate to sign yourself up for your chance to become a part of WCS Montreal.
