Starcraft – The First GSL Champion of 2018 Is Crowned

Blizzard Entertainment

After a thrilling six-game series, Cho “Maru” Seong Ju has taken the championship for the Global StarCraft II League (GSL) Season 1. While Maru has long been one of the best Terrans in the world, his skill has taken off even further here at the beginning of 2018. After winning the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) championship earlier this month, he can now add his very first GSL win to his list of accolades. With his play reaching such new heights, it’s going to be exciting to see how he continues to perform throughout the year. He’s also guaranteed a place at the WCS Global Finals later this year, so he’s also a serious contender to win the coveted title of World Champion. Congratulations, Maru!
