Vainglory partnerships will solidify Vainglory’s esports for 2018 and beyond

Vainglory, the world’s No. 1 international mobile esport, celebrates the upcoming Feb. 13, 2018 launch of Vainglory 5V5, the only undiluted, no-compromises MOBA for mobile, with two strategic partnerships that will solidify Vainglory’s esports dominance for 2018 and beyond. As Vainglory heads into its biggest esports year yet, a partnership with ESP Gaming will bring the top-tier league of Vainglory Esports, reintroduced today as the Vainglory Premier League, to a new home in Las Vegas. ESP Gaming is the world’s premiere competitive gaming content company with experience producing world-class events including the Olympics, X Games, NFL and World Series of Poker. Having recently onboarded a number of esports veterans, ESP Gaming will make Vainglory its flagship production title for mobile esports in its new, state-of-the-art Vegas studio.

“We’re excited to work together with Super Evil Megacorp as the exclusive production partner for Vainglory Esports and bring our player-focused storytelling to fans of the world’s ultimate MOBA title on mobile,” said Jeff Liboon, President of ESP Gaming. “We are leveraging decades of live sports and gaming expertise to create the best esports content for one of the most passionate fan bases in all of gaming.”

Sharing Vainglory publisher Super Evil Megacorp’s vision for no-compromises core gaming experiences on mobile devices, Razer, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware, software and systems, has entered into a strategic partnership to combine Vainglory with its gamer-first devices and peripherals.

“Super Evil and Razer share a common belief that gaming is coming to mobile fast and hard,” said Tom Moss, GM and SVP of Mobile at Razer. “Vainglory’s fast-paced gameplay, required precision and stunning graphics truly shine on the Razer Phone, and core gamers no longer need to sacrifice anything when playing on a mobile device.”

These strategic partnerships are part of a significant moment for Super Evil Megacorp, which is soon launching Vainglory 5V5, the first and only true MOBA on the mobile platform. Vainglory 5V5 delivers superior gameplay and strategic depth with the absolute best graphics, the most accurate and responsive controls, and highest frame rates. Vainglory 5V5 hasn’t been watered down or simplified for the mobile platform, retaining everything that makes MOBAs the most popular game genre in the world, combined with Super Evil twists. Features include true line-of-sight Fog of War, real macro and rotational strategies, last-hitting, wave control, completely free player camera controls, an intricate vision system and ultra-precise touchscreen controls that allow focus and fighting in ways that thumbsticks cannot match. And throughout it all, Vainglory 5V5 immerses players in a world of entirely original fantasy characters and storytelling, adding depth and emotional investment to every play session. Adding to the 5V5 experience will be new music from Joris de Man, the award-winning composer and sound designer best known for his work on the recent Horizon Zero Dawn and the Killzone franchise.

Building on the momentum of a successful World Championship in Singapore, the inaugural season of the Vainglory Premier League will commence in June this year. The regular season will follow an extended preseason designed to give Vainglory Esports organizations sufficient opportunity to transition and expand their 3v3 player rosters to accommodate 5V5 play. The new Vainglory Premier League will evolve the Vainglory Esports structure and schedule, moving to a double-round-robin with midseason and end-of-season playoffs, along with a single relegation tournament and regional championships will qualify teams for the annual World Championship.

“We built Vainglory with the firm belief that mobile audiences deserve game experiences every bit as amazing as players have on PC and console, and that remains our mission,” said Kristian Segerstrale, CEO of Super Evil Megacorp. “A short time ago, being able to run Vainglory 5V5 at 120 FPS on a device like the Razer Phone with a breathtaking map, 3M+ polygons and more than 200 million actors with custom animations was unheard of. However, it’s now reality, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”
