With the second and final day of the ESL One Battlefield 4 Winter finals done and dusted, we now know the new ESL One Battlefield 4 champions. Saturday saw the elimination of LeiSuRe and ReVo eSport, meaning that yesterday it was up to the six remaining teams to fight it out in ESL studios for the title, trophy and lion’s share of the €35,000 prize pool.
First up was a rematch between PENTA Sports and SYF Gaming, with the former finally coming out on top with a nailbiting 2-1 finish. With INTZ trouncing Evolution GamerZ 2-0 in the last group stage match of the event, it was then on to the playoffs. Both Epsilon eSports and INTZ took decisive 3-0 victories in their semifinal matchups, which saw them go head to head in the best-of-five grand final. After an intense battle that went the full five rounds, it was ultimately Epsilon eSports who emerged victorious with a score of 3-2 – congratulations, guys!
