In 2015, the growth of CS:GO was clear to the entire esports world. The ESL Open League was one of the very obvious indicators of this, with over 1,100 teams taking part in the last season of the year. Now ESL Open League is back with a new chance for teams from all over Europe to join the competition, fight their way towards the ESL Major League and win some great prizes in the process.
Sign up for the ESL CS:GO Open League
Signups are open until the 25th of January for all Europe-based teams. While teams will start by playing in groups of eight with opponents from their home or neighboring countries, the competition will go fully European in the playoffs. Here the top four from each group will meet and play for one of 16 slots in the upcoming ESL Major League. The winner of the ESL Open League Spring 2016 competition will also receive up to €500 of gaming hardware for their team.
ESL community manager Florian “bLackhawk” Schiekel said of the new season:
“Seeing the number of signups go beyond 1,000 in the last season was a great thing, and we are excited to see what the final numbers we will be like this season. The ESL Open League is a great place for you to either enjoy some scheduled matches with your friends or to give your team a good challenge as you start off 2016.”
With the first matches already scheduled for early February, you should get your team ready soon and take your spot in the Spring season 2016!
