The road to regionals has been hard fought ever since the initial announcement over #HaloWC landed back at Gamescom in 2015. In December, all online ladders opened up with a few teams claiming an early 2015 regionals spot. Moving forward to 2016, the online qualifiers are in full swing and by then end of January we will have all regional slots which leads into February action.
Jumping forward just one month to March, we will be at the penultimate finish of three months of hard grind at the Halo World Championship: 2016 Finals, where the very best in Halo esports from around the globe goes head to head for a prize pool of over US$2,000,000! With first place currently taking home around US$800,000, this event boasts the biggest ever prize pool for a Halo game since franchise creation 14 years ago.
