The Intel Extreme Masters PC initiative increases the World Championship prize pool by US$37,500!

Right before Intel Extreme Masters World Championship kicked off in Katowice, we announced the limited edition IEM PCs – powerful gaming machines worthy of the best players in the world.

The limited offer of the Intel Extreme Masters PCs was not only a great opportunity to acquire the battlestation of your dreams but also a way to support the teams and players partaking in the World Championship in Katowice. Every PC purchase contributed to the event’s prize pool. We are happy to announce that the PCs have added a total of US$37,500!

Distribution

The Intel Extreme Masters PCs impacted the prize pools as follows:
•Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – $250,000 initial prize pool + $15,000 from IEM PCs = $265,000
•League of Legends – $100,000 initial prize pool + $15,000 from IEM PCs = $115,000
•StarCraft II – $150,000 initial prize pool + $7,500 from IEM PCs = $157,500
