The North American Call of Duty Stage 1 finals are this weekend: here’s what to expect

The Call of Duty World League presented by PlayStation Pro Division Stage 1 Finals in North America are this weekend! The top eight teams in the league will compete for a share of the US$250,000 prize pool on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 live from Burbank, CA. Here’s a look at the action we can expect going into the Finals!

1. OpTic Gaming [20-2 record]
2. Rise Nation [16-6 record]
3. FaZe Clan [15-7 record]
4. Team eLevate [13-9 record]
5. Team EnVyUs [12-10 record]
6. compLexity [10-12 record]
7. Luminosity [9-13 record]
8. Team SoloMid [9-13 record]

The quarterfinal matchups as determined by standings in the League have set the stage for an action-packed weekend:
• #4 Team eLevate vs. #5 Team EnVyUs
• #3 FaZe Clan vs. #6 compLexity
• #2 Rise Nation vs. #7 Luminosity
• #1 OpTic Gaming vs. #8 Team SoloMid

While EnVyUs had a rough last few weeks in the league, they bounced back to win their final match 3-0 and have a lot of momentum on their side going into their quarterfinal match vs. eLevate.

FaZe also had a strong Stage 1 finish and are looking fierce as they prepare to face off against a somewhat inconsistent compLexity who disappointingly ended with a six-week losing streak.

Rise Nation, however, has been on fire, finishing Stage 1 with a five-week win streak. In the regular season, their series count vs. Luminosity is tied 1-1. Rise Nation took them down 3-0 in their first meeting, but LG took the second series 3-2. This matchup is sure to be a close one!

The last matchup will be a challenging one for TSM. In their last encounter of the regular season, OpTic took them down with in a fast 3-0 sweep. TSM will have to bring out new strategies this weekend in order to put up a strong fight against OpTic.

The action for the North American Stage 1 Finals begins at 9:30 Pacific/12:30 Eastern on Saturday, April 2 right here.
