Millenium, with Players from Great Britain and Ireland, Crowned Champions of the Pro Division Stage 1 Finals
The best Call of Duty® players from across Europe battled it out in Cologne at the Call of Duty® World League, presented by PlayStation®4, Pro Division Stage 1 Finals this past weekend, fighting for a share of the more than $3 million USD worldwide prize pool and a chance to qualify for the Call of Duty® Championship, later this year.
Fans saw 14 teams from across Europe in action from 25th-27th March, with relegation matches taking place first on Friday, followed by the Pro Division playoffs on Saturday and Sunday. Millenium, with players from Great Britain and Ireland, were crowned champions of the Call of Duty World League, presented by PlayStation®4 Pro Division Stage 1 Finals, following a gripping final match against the talented team Splyce.
In addition, Exertus eSports defeated French Stage 1 Pro Division team PuLse Gaming, to earn a spot in the CWL Stage 2 Pro Division. Spanish team Giants Gaming and French teams Vitality and Team LDLC survived relegation and will compete in Stage 2, beginning 19th April, for cash prizes and a chance to qualify for the Call of Duty Championship later this year.
