Gfinity puts up prize funds for Tournament Builders on Xbox One

Less than a week ago, Gfinity launched Tournament Builder for Xbox One. Tens of thousands of gamers have already downloaded the app and are setting up their own tournaments. In doing so, they are creating thousands of opportunities for gamers of all levels to compete in leagues, ladders and cups for their favourite games.

To add to the wave of excitement amongst Xbox One gamers caused by the launch of their feature-rich Tournament Builder App, Gfinity is now raising the stakes further by announcing a prize fund that will be offered to budding organisers, to help them build up the popularity of their tournaments.

Over the next few weeks, Gfinity will be identifying prominent tournaments on the App and putting £100 in the organisers’ wallet on gfinity.net for them to offer as a prize pot to their tournament entrants.

While all the criteria for being selected are a closely guarded secret, the more random the game being played, the more creative the tournament name and the more participant numbers competing, the greater the chance the organiser has of attracting the judges’ eyes!

Sam Van Tilburgh, Head of Marketing at Gfinity says: “We want to give players and organisers alike the chance to compete, not just for pride and bragging rights but for a bit of a prize too! We are committed to giving gamers of all levels the chance to experience the buzz of competitive gaming – by launching the Tournament Builder app and supporting up-and-coming tournament organisers, we are building next generation eSports!”
