The winners of the nine week CS:GO tournament were Luminosity Gaming who beat G2 Esports in a thrilling five map final and taking home $200,000 in prize money. “Esports is now solidly on the radar of big brands and broadcasters as they strive to harness the passion that this entertainment and competition generates. This is a sector whose time has come and this is going to be a spectacularly exciting twelve months as audiences continue to swell,” James Dean continued.
“The ESL CS:GO Pro League’s continued growth and evolution is something that we are immensely proud of,” said Ulrich Schulze, VP Pro Gaming at ESL. “We’re already deep into Season 4 planning and are hoping the local crowd in our soon-to-be-announced finals location will be just as energetic and enthusiastic as the one we saw in London.”
