Luminosity (Week 1) and Ninjas in Pyjamas (Week 2) Advance to Playoffs as Week 3 Commences with Team Astralis in Action
ELEAGUE, the professional eSports league created by Turner and WME | IMG, has unveiled the second half of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive group stages for weeks 4-6 of its inaugural season. In the weeks ahead, the following elite Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams will face off in Group Play action:
•Group D (June 14 -17): Fnatic, FaZe, Dignitas, Team SoloMid (TSM)
•Group E (June 21 – 24): Na’Vi, mousesports, Flipsid3, Echo Fox
•Group F (June 28 – July 1): Virtus Pro, EnVyUs, Gambit, compLexity
In ELEAGUE’s premiere week, Luminosity secured the win against Liquid, Cloud9 and Renegades. In the second week, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) pulled off a victory against G2 Esports, OpTic and Selfless. Both Luminosity and NiP have secured their ticket to the playoffs, beginning in Week 9, while runners-up Cloud9 and G2 Esports will get a second opportunity in the “Last Chance Qualifier” round in Week 8. This week, Astralis, NRG, Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) and SK Gaming will compete head-to-head for their spot in the playoffs. Live event coverage will be presented on ELEAGUE’s Twitch channel (Tuesday/Wednesday from 12-7 p.m. ET and Thursday from 2-7 p.m.) with a Friday night televised showcase airing on TBS at 10 p.m. ET (with simultaneous coverage available via Twitch).
