Gfinity and Futhead launch the first global FUT competition

Starting today, Gfinity and Futhead are running weekly ‘Futhead Cups’ for ‘FIFA 16’ on ‘Xbox One’ for Europe, North and South America, with a total $25,000 prize pool.

London 2nd June 2016 – As the EURO 2016 tournament is about to kick off in Europe, Gfinity and Futhead announce an exciting global FIFA 16 eSports schedule. FIFA 16 Ultimate Team is a really popular eSports title with over 1,000 European participants per week competing on Gfinity. A brand new partnership between Futhead, the biggest FIFA Ultimate Team community in the world and Gfinity, the fastest growing eSports community, is now paving the way for aspiring professional videogamers to show off their talent on the pitch and take home some of the coveted prize money.

Gfinity will be hosting six weekly cups on Monday, Wednesday and Friday – across Europe and The Americas (North and South). Gamers who want to compete, simply need to sign up for a free Gfinity account and register in the free competition. They can also download ‘Tournament Builder’ from Xbox Live to participate. Pro points will be handed out in each cup, which are used to seed the online and offline events.

The first cup will start from Friday, 3rd June 2016 on www.gfinity.net/futhead with a full schedule and breakdown of prizes and pro points included below. The schedule will run for 52 weeks.

Monday: $135 Total and 1,000 Pro Points
• 1st place – $100
• 2nd – $35
Wednesday: 1,000 Pro Points
Friday: $135 Total and 2,000 Pro Points
• 1st – $100
• 2nd – $35
