Overwatch has had a rocket start after its release and is almost everywhere you look. At this year’s gamescom in Cologne, Germany, we are proud to present the largest Overwatch tournament to date. At the Overwatch® Atlantic Showdown, eight teams, four each from North America and Europe, will fight for the title as well as their share of the US$100,000 prize pool.
The Overwatch® Atlantic Showdown
Just three month after the release of Overwatch, it could be you taking the stage and winning the very first six digit tournament. Starting on the 27th of June, we will get to see a lot of live action with the qualifiers in both Europe and North America kicking off. For four weeks, every Monday and Tuesday, we’ll see the best EU teams clashing, while North America takes over for Wednesday and Thursday. All matches will be best-of-three series, so there is a lot of thrilling matches waiting for us!

Right after these four weeks of qualification, the top 16 teams in each region will clash for the final four spots in the Overwatch® Atlantic Showdown at gamescom. The European finals will be played out on the 23rd and 24th of July and the North American final follow just one week later, on the 30th and 31st of July. In the final qualifiers, all matches will be played in best-of-five series, making sure only the very best teams advance to gamescom 2016!

Taking the stage at gamescom
The best four teams from both regions will clash on the gamescom weekend, 20th and 21st of August. With a total of US$100,000 on the line, visitors at gamescom, fans at home as well as the players in the tournament will get to see the biggest Overwatch tournament to date going down.
