Highlights

A Major Challenge at a Critical Time

As a major on-stage LAN event, The Call of Duty MLG Anaheim Open sets the state of North American competition heading into the final third of the Stage 2 regular season. The event gives titans like OpTic Gaming, Rise Nation, and FaZe Clan the chance to prove their tournament readiness weeks before the Stage 2 Playoffs, while lower placed teams can take what they’ve learned and bring their best. The performances here offer a crucial indicator of what’s to come heading into the latter half of the year.

Adding New Names to the Mix

Featuring up to 96 amateur teams, the tournament is a prime event for up-and-coming Challenge Division rosters to flex their skills against the best. Watch for new names and faces as top squads progress through the weekend. You never know when you might spot the next hot talent.

100 Thieves

North American squad Hundred Thieves made waves on the announcement that Call of Duty eSports veteran NaDeSHoT had acquired the team. To further excite fans, 19x championship winner ACHES joined on as captain shortly after the start of Stage 2 competition. With a current twelfth place standing, however, many are wondering if and when the squad will break out with their expected potential. The LAN environment at Call of Duty MLG Anaheim Open might just be the test they need.
