Fans have said Kaelaris looks like a cross between Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones and Faramir from Lord of the Rings. Rest assured, he is not the offspring of those fictional characters. He is Kaelaris, our desk host.
Lucky for us, IEM’s dates correspond with Rotterdam, ToD and Nathanias being in Shanghai for their annual pilgrimage to the People’s Square marriage market. While not negotiating terms with prospective in-laws, they will be commentating StarCraft.
We’ve hired PiG because 2016 is the year of the pig in China. Well it’s actually the year of the fire monkey but that’s close enough for us. Do you really want to argue with a primate on fire?

Our former observer FunKa has been promoted to commentator. He’ll be running IEM soon, watch out Carmac.
Our observer, Koka, is from O’Gaming. He will never miss any action and will suitably rotate the screen excitedly when players are introduced. Did we mention he’s from O’Gaming?

The tournament will begin on the 28th of July at 10:00 Chinese Standard Time, which is 04:00 CEST, 19:00 PDT as players compete for a share of the $32,000 prize pool and WCS Circuit points. All of the matches will streamed on our Twitch channel.
