RED BULL 5G HEADS TO THE UK

Red Bull 5G offers gamers across the country the chance to experience a professional tournament and win an all-expenses paid trip to Japan where the tournament originated. Amateur players can now register to compete in five different games: Hearthstone, League of Legends, Project CARS, Rocket League and Street Fighter V.

Inspired by traditional 5 vs 5 martial arts tournaments, the classic rivalry between East and West, and a growing culture of competitive gaming, Red Bull 5G was created in Japan in 2012. With the growing eSports scene and the classic North/South divide in the UK, Red Bull 5G will make its way here this month igniting an age old rivalry as players choose the region they want to represent in one of five world renowned games.

Players can register now to take part in weekly online qualifiers which will run for four weeks from August 29th. The winning players from these qualifying rounds will then compete in an online final between September 24th and 28th for their place in the regional finals – the North regional final taking place at Play Expo in Manchester on October 9th and the South regional final at MCM ComicCon in London on October 30th. The winners from each regional final will represent North and South in a national throw down in Birmingham on November 20th for their chance to be crowned champions and to win an all-expenses paid trip to Red Bull 5G in Japan in December.

Red Bull 5G 4-packs will also be stocked in stores across the country offering gamers exclusive in-game items. Using a redemption code that can be found in every Red Bull 5G 4-pack, players can unlock extras such as Hot Ryu in Street Fighter V or get 15% off selected items in the Project Cars online store or a classic card pack for Hearthstone.
