Gfinity Teams up with Top UK Grime Artist

Jme, Gfinity and Hype Management are gassed to confirm that they have joined forces to create ‘Serious’, a series of video gaming events. The first of these will be the Serious Rainbow Six Siege Tournament. This is a UK based tournament featuring the Xbox One version of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, a team-based tactical shooter from Ubisoft.

Jme is a self-confessed huge fan of video games and first person shooters in particular – just check out the lyrics to Game from his 2015 album, Integrity.

Online qualification took place on Sunday 28th August, with the winning team being invited to the live finals on Friday 9 September at the Gfinity Arena, London to play off against three invited teams, including Jme’s own team, Headtop!

Jme said; “I’m online murking just as much as I’m on stage, it was only a matter of time until this happened. I’ve got my team, Headtop, and we’re more than ready.”

Sam Van Tilburgh, Head of Marketing at Gfinity adds; “It’s going to be wonderful with Jme and supporting the competitive Rainbow Six community with another platform, with a twist. Bringing music and games together is something we’re keen to explore.”

All the action will be streamed live on Friday 9th September.

There’s £2,500 up for grabs for the winning team on the night, along with official Jme merchandise and top Elite Pro headsets courtesy of Turtle Beach.
