The Brooklyn Beatdown schedule and player cap update

By ESL Gaming

We’ve finalized the schedule for the Brooklyn Beatdown, the Street Fighter V portion of ESL One New York. From Saturday to Sunday, October 1st to 2nd, the world’s best SFV players will get the chance to test themselves in the Barclays Center for a total of $75,000 in prize money.

Unfortunately we had to make some adjustments to the player cap at the venue. In order to accommodate the arena’s open and closing times, as well as to keep the schedule as comfortable as possible for players, we had to cut back the player cap on site from 1024 to 256. This means the Brooklyn Beatdown will start with 16 pools, containing 16 players each, from which the top two will advance to the Round of 32.

Check out what this means for the tournament schedule.
