ELEAGUE will begin its second season, featuring Valve’s popular competitive video game Counter Strike: Global Offensive, with preliminary rounds starting Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. ET. This week’s preliminary round will feature some of the best European teams – including Dignitas, FaZe, Flipsid3, Gambit and G2 Esports – competing for a chance to advance to the group stage. Overall, more than 700 teams participated in the qualifying round for season two.
Wednesday’s live coverage will feature Team Dignitas vs. Tengri at 10 a.m., followed by Godsent vs. DeadWeight. ELEAGUE’s European preliminary round action will continue Thursday, Sept. 8., at 8 a.m. with the first of four consecutive matches held throughout the day. Coverage will be available via Twitch both days.
Additionally, TBS will televise ELEAGUE Extra, a comprehensive highlights and analysis show capturing all of the best moments from the European preliminary round on Friday, Sept. 9, at 10 p.m. Richard Lewis will host the one-hour show with analysts Jason “Moses” O’Toole and Duncan “Thorin” Shields.
ELEAGUE’s coverage of the American preliminary round will be available via Twitch on Wednesday, Sept. 14, and Thursday, Sept. 15, beginning at noon both days. TBS will televise ELEAGUE Extra on Friday, Sept. 16, at 10 p.m. showcasing all of the week’s signature highlights.
