Esports Championship Series Season Two Finals Taking Place December 9-11

The finals for Season Two of the Esports Championship Series (ECS) will take place December 9-11, with the last two days of the tournament finals hosted at Anaheim Arena in California making it the largest ever CS:GO event in SoCal. The ECS, a groundbreaking esports initiative founded by FACEIT and supported by Twitch, will see one of the strongest league lineups for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) this year. The top four qualifying teams from both North America and Europe will be vying for a prize pool of $750,000 on top of participation fees. Tickets to the ECS Season Two Finals are available for purchase now at the official event website: http://anaheim.csgoleague.com/. The full three days of the final will be streamed live on FACEIT’s official Twitch channel on December 9-11.

As with the inaugural season of ECS, those esports fans who would like to be in the center of the action can purchase a standard Ticket for the low price of $15. A Ticket Plus tier is also available for $35, granting access to improved seating and a Limited Edition ECS Anaheim Cap, and a Premium Ticket for optimal seating, fast track to signing sessions and limited edition goodies is available for $75. Group purchases will receive a special discount on all tickets. Reduced rates are also available for early bird tickets, which will have a discount of 15% off of tickets purchased by October 19.

Students go Free!
Students who possessive a valid student ID can order a free Student Ticket that covers both days of the final. Those with a Student Ticket will be required to present a valid student ID at the door to be allowed entrance.

“We wanted to bring the ECS to the amazing fans in North America for the finals of Season Two,” said Michele Attisani, CBO and co-founder of FACEIT. “Our American fans are some of the most dedicated and passionate, we can’t wait to give them an awesome show and take the step towards a truly global league. Not to mention in December the players will appreciate the warm weather and Disneyland right next door!”

All of the teams participating for Season Two of the ECS league earn all the benefits of Season One participants, including co-ownership in the league and the opportunity to select representation on the league’s governing committee. The ECS is providing a collective $1.75M for Season Two that will go toward the league’s prize pool and supportive funds that will provide player stability. This includes helping organizations provide better salaries, facilities and equipment that will improve the overall conditions and welfare for players, while furnishing the ecosystem of the ECS with a more structured framework to operate within.

Created in 1967, the Anaheim Arena and the adjacent Anaheim Convention Center has served hosted major gaming and pop culture events by Blizzard Entertainment, The Anime Expo, Lucasfilms, Disney and many others. The ECS will utilize the Anaheim Arena space to host five days of intense competition in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with four of the top European and four North American teams along with celebrity signing opportunities and entertaining activities between matches.
