The new league named “All Star Competition” will be more open to encourage diverse players, of all ages and skills, to participate in eSports.
Following the success of the Heroes Evolved Championship and World Finals, R2Games announces the All Star Competition beginning on January 4th 2017.
R2Games and NetDragon explain there is a need for an eSports league that is not hindered by qualification requirements. They want more players to access the world of eSports, and by creating an event that is open to players of lower levels, they aim to provide a platform for those that are discouraged by professional leagues. The top 100 will be rewarded, meaning there is a higher chance of winning a prize. Compared to the traditional league system with a single finalist team, players can enter the event as a solo player, making Heroes Evolved and finding new friends even more accessible to the large international fanbase.
