Cinkrof completes move to Origen

Struggling European League Championship team Origen have today finally completed the deal that brings Polish jungler Jakub “Cinkrof” Rokicki into the starting lineup.

The player has featured in the past for Polish side ‘Czef+6’, and Spanish ‘The Penguins Mafia’ and ‘ThunderX3 Baskonia’

The 19 year old jungler replaces former Rox Tigers member Kim “Wisdom” Tae-wan, who has failed to pick up a single victory with the side this split. The move marks what could be the end of a rough period for the player, who was dropped by Rox Tigers shortly after their 2nd place finish at the World Championships in 2016. He spent time on Giants, Misfits, and Origen while in Europe, but has failed to settle into a lineup.

Origen also parted ways with support player Aleksi “Hiiva” Kaikkonen last week. It was reported that Cinkrof was supposed to join up with the side at the same time, but that negotiations had broken down between the two parties. Fortunately, they have been able to resolve them ahead of the upcoming LCS weekend.

The team has had an incredibly rough start to the 2017 season, having failed to pick up a single victory thus far. Fans were skeptical of the lineup when it was announced prior to the start of the split, and their belief in the lineup will likely only falter further after a slew of roster changes.

Cinkrof will be making his LCS debut when he takes the stage against Roccat tomorrow, a battle that will see one side pick up their first victory of the entire spring split. Origen owner and current support player (as of last week’s LCS) Enrique “Xpeke” Cedeno will certainly be hoping his young signing can have an instant impact on the lineup. Origen look destined for the relegation tournament as it stands, will their new addition be enough to save them?
