Chiefs Esports Club over Tainted Minds in the Oceania qualifier leading towards IEM Sydney

The grand final of the Oceania qualifier for Intel Extreme Masters Sydney just concluded and Chiefs managed to grab the eighth and final spot over Tainted Minds by winning the grand final 2-0. Chiefs made great progress throughout the qualifier as the favored team. Coming from the upper bracket, they managed to take the series by winning the two maps 16-12 and 16-8 respectively. This now secures their presence at Qudos Bank Arena, where they will meet the other powerhouse teams at IEM Sydney.
Besides Vici Gaming, who won the Chinese qualifier, they are the second team to earn a spot alongside international top teams. They join the lineup of Astralis, FaZe Clan, SK Gaming and the remainder of the Sydney 8 for the first ever esports stadium event in Australia, playing in a Swiss group stage first.
