Edition launching on May 6th on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC.
Slightly Mad Studios and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe S.A.S are pleased to announce a total prize pool of €20,000 for the winning teams competing in the Logitech G Championship Series and NVIDIA Challenger Series.
“Project CARS E-sports has gotten off to a good start with the inaugural 2015 season with top teams, the fastest drivers in the world playing in our ESL Weekly Cups, and spectacular live events held in Madrid, Cologne, Birmingham, and Paris.
This year there have been a number of pre-season changes and improvements to ensure Project CARS continues to dominate as a first-class E-sports racing game. A significant prize fund for the winning teams in each series rewards them for the intense level of commitment and dedication they have for our E-sports initiative,” says Arnaud Staebler, Brand Manager at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe.
With almost 200 teams already signed up for the 2016 season, they each stand a chance of taking home €5000 within the division of the series they’re participating in.
“In addition to trophies, swag, hardware, and bragging rights, teams can now look forward to a healthy cash prize at the end of the season. This is an expression of our gratitude to the pro drivers who have helped make Project CARS the most successful racing E-sport out there. With the Game Of The Year Edition launching soon, virtual reality now in our living rooms, and lots of exciting things yet to be announced in 2016, the racing community have ensured that the Project CARS franchise is here to stay and is their first choice for serious competitive racing.” says Andy Tudor, Creative Director at Slightly Mad Studios.
Players have until April 1st to sign up their teams for the Logitech G Championship Series (#LGCS) and NVIDIA Challenger Series (#NCS).
