Did you hear? Blizzard is organising its own World Cup, featuring the best players from throughout the world as they compete for their country in much the same way that football players forgo their teams for the glory of their country.<\/p>\n
Though pro players are involved here, too, many players were voted for by the community of Overwatch players to decide who should play for their country.<\/p>\n
Well those votes have been tallied, and the rosters have been formed. Now that\u2019s been done, Blizzard has revealed the rosters for each country \u2013 and there are a lot taking part \u2013 so maybe it\u2019s time you checked out your favourite teams.<\/p>\n
We won\u2019t post them all here, but you can check on your country over on Blizzard\u2019s Overwatch World Cup page.<\/p>\n
The Overwatch World Cup takes place during this year\u2019s BlizzCon, but there\u2019s no mention of whether that\u2019s just the knockout stage or the entire tournament. With so many teams to get through, a qualifying round and group stage is a necessity\u2026 and couldn\u2019t possibly all take place at BlizzCon.<\/p>\n
