Featuring competition between four top teams from both Europe and North America, the Grand Finals will be the final point of a season awarding US$750,000 in prize money, with the winner taking home an astounding US$200,000 lion\u2019s share. The London Grand Finals mark the first of two major events in the US$1.5 million 2016 ESL Pro League calendar.  <\/p>\n<p>Counter-Strike: Global Offensive continues to break records and attract millions of viewers on multiple online platforms, with Intel Extreme Masters Katowice becoming the most-watched non-Major event of all time earlier this month. Last year\u2019s ESL Pro League seasons saw over 100 million online sessions created and almost 30 million hours of online content watched, with this year\u2019s inaugural season setting new milestones for online league viewership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is by far the most prestigious year of ESL Pro League to date, and we\u2019re taking it to the next level in indigo at The O2,\u201d said Ulrich Schulze, VP of Pro Gaming at ESL. \u201cThe ESL Pro League is synonymous with consistently high-level competition, and we\u2019re looking to take only the best of the best to the UK. It\u2019s been a great season of top-tier play and the UK, with its rich FPS history, is sure to bring out the fighting spirit in these teams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eight teams will head to ESL UK\u2019s newly finished industry-leading studio in Leicester for the group stages of the ESL Pro League competition (May 11-12), set to be played out behind closed doors.
