In collaboration with Gears of War, The Coalition, and Am2Pro, Gfinity is excited to announce the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Gears eSports European Open in the United Kingdom, July 8-10. Pro and Amateur teams across Europe will compete for a starting \u00a310,000 prize pool with the potential to increase to a \u00a315,000 prize pool with more than 32 team pass sales.<\/p>\n
The Top 4 teams will play in the Grand Finals in front of a live studio audience<\/a> in London, UK at the Gfinity Arena & Studios on Sunday, July 10, 2016. Teams will qualify for the Gfinity Grand Finals through an open tournament hosted by Am2Pro at the Nottingham Forest Football Stadium (UK) starting Friday evening, July 8, 2016 and continuing through Saturday, July 9th.<\/p>\n Tournament format will be double-elimination Gears of War: Ultimate Edition \u201cExecution\u201d played on the standard Gears eSports settings (e.g. six-map cycle with map\/faction picking, character restrictions, etc). Matches will be Best of 5, with the Grand Finals being a Best of 7.<\/p>\n The Gfinity Arena & Studios in London. Team Passes can be purchased here<\/a> for an early-bird price of \u00a3120. VIP Passes (including access to warm-up stations) can be purchased for \u00a3160. Teams that purchase their passes before June 15, 2016 will receive the rare weapon skin \u201cLambent Splatter\u201d for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
