Intel Extreme Masters Taipei is just around the corner and with it the official Valve Regional Minor Championship. There is a lot on the line for the eight participating teams. Aside from the lion’s share of the US$50,000 prize pool, the winner will also secure an invitation to Intel Extreme Masters World Championship Katowice 2016. Moreover, the top two teams will receive an invitation to the offline qualifier to the next Valve major.
The format
The eight competing teams will be divided into two groups of four. The group stage will have double elimination best of one matchups, whereas the semifinals and grand final will be best of threes.
