The Two Leading Street FighterTM V Players Left Standing After Day One to Face Off Against
14 of the Top Players Inside and Outside of Europe on Day Two
FACEIT, the world’s leading independent competitive gaming platform is partnering with the Capcom Pro Tour and Fandango Club, the event organizers of the Milan Games Week (MGW), to produce the two-day EU Regional Finals of Street Fighter™ V, taking place at Milan Games Week in Milan, Italy on October 15-16th. After an open 256 player EU Regional Last Chance Qualifier on Day One, the top two players will enter into the EU Regional Finals the next day, battling the 14 players who have qualified by winning the EU Regional Ranking Events that have taken place throughout the year. The winner of the 16 player EU Regional Final will earn a qualifying spot to the Capcom Cup 2016. F-Word & Logan Sama will be the headline announcers of the tournament. Skilled fighters can register for the event at http://challonge.com/MGWSFV. Entrants will need to sign up on Challonge and follow the instructions listed.
FACEIT will be running both days of the tournament, marking the second year of CPT tournaments at Milan Games Week.
“Milan Games Week is proud to host the most skilled competitive players inside and outside of Europe for two days of incredible Street Fighter V gameplay”, say the organizers. “MGW was founded to be an open event for thousands of indie game, cosplay, retro gaming and competitive gaming fans from all over Europe. It’s fitting that this 256 person tournament is likewise open to player far and wide to join the fun”.
“It’s great to have a CPT event returning to Milan Games Week for the second year in a row,” said James Bardolph, Creative Director of FACEIT Media. “The Day One Open EU Regional Ranking Event will be an exciting chance to see up-and-coming talent challenge legendary players in the scene. I’m looking forward to some heated matches between dedicated competitors and the passionate Street Fighter V fans cheering them on the whole way.”
Milan Games Week is open to the public, tickets can be purchased here: http://www.milangamesweek.it/biglietteria (in Italian).
