The season is coming to a close! With Playoffs around the corner, it’s time to starting thinking about the NA LCS Regional Qualifiers!
Who will be the last team to qualify for the 2017 World Championship? Find out in the NA LCS Regional Qualifiers on September 8-10. Tickets available on August 24 at 10:00 AM PT.
Each year, the top three teams from the NA LCS qualify to participate in the annual World Championship. The first team to go to Worlds 2017 will be the NA LCS Summer Split champions. The second team to represent North America at Worlds 2017 is the team with the most championship points. The final team is determined by the winner of the NA LCS Regional Qualifiers (aka “the Gauntlet”). Read on for more information about the Gauntlet and about how you can attend the event.
How does the Regional Qualifiers work?
After playoffs, the remaining top four teams with the highest championship points will qualify to play in the NA LCS Regional Qualifiers. For a refresher on how championship points work, click here.
These teams will be seeded based on their championship points, and will battle it out in three rounds of Bo5s. In round one, the #3 seed and #4 seed will battle it out. The #2 and #1 seed will each receive second and third round byes, respectively. The winner of the first round will face off against the #2 seed in the second round. Finally, the winner of the second round will face off against the #1 seed. The winner of this final series qualifies for the World Championship.
Where can I get tickets?
Tickets will be released August 24 at 10:00 AM PT. As always you will be able to buy them on the Lolesports Tickets page. All games will be held at the NA LCS Studio.
