Rainbow Six
After a few weeks of tough ladder competition we determined the best 16 teams of the Six Invitational 2018 qualifier from three different regions. Now they are headed to the play-offs.
The ladder competition was pretty long and tough for all of the participants. However, after hundreds of games we managed to determine the best 16 teams in Europe, North America and Latin America. Now all of them will head to the play-offs where they will fight for spots at the Six Invitational.
Let’s have a look at some interesting facts about the first phase of the Six Invitational qualifier. Nearly 1000 games have been played out during the ladder stage across all three regions with over half of it (601 best-of-three matches) in Europe. The most picked maps in Europe, North America and Latin America were Oregon (picked 687 times) and Border (picked 577 times).
The Six Invitational qualifying tournament will continue with regional play-offs, where the 16 best teams from the ladder will fight for their spots at the tournament in Montreal, Canada. The second stage of the competition will be played in a single elimination bracket. Winners of the NA and LATAM portion will qualify for the Six Invitational, and so will the top two teams from the European tournament.
The schedule of the Six Invitational Qualifier Play-offs looks as follows:
- Friday, January 5th – Round of 16, all regions
- Saturday, January 6th – Round of 8, all regions
- Sunday, January 7th – Semi-finals, North America
- Monday, January 8th – Grand final, North America
- Tuesday, January 9th – Semi-finals, Latin America
- Wednesday, January 10th – Grand final, Latin America
- Thursday, January 11th – Semi-finals, Europe
- Friday, January 12th – Grand final, Europe

Six Invitational 2018 will be the biggest and the most international Rainbow Six: Siege competition ever. 16 teams will be competing for a prize pool of $500,000 and the title of World Champion.
