Champions collide as groups get drawn for StarCraft at IEM Katowice

Intel® Extreme Masters World Championship

Excitement continues to build around the Intel® Extreme Masters World Championship Katowice as it shapes up to be one of the best StarCraft® II events in history with a US$400,000 prize pool, 12 world-class players already confirmed, and with more than two applications per slot for the Ro76.

The tournament will start in the Ro76 where competition from all around the world will travel to Katowice Poland in attempt to reach the players who qualified, and were invited to the Ro24.

Seeding rules:

  • All qualified and invited players were split into two different pools: the first one consisting of UB qualifying players together with invited WCS 2017 Champion Rogue (8 players total); the second one containing all LB qualifying players. (4 players total)
  • The four qualified WCS circuit players to be spread across all 4 groups

With only 28 days remaining, there is still plenty of time to practice but time is running out to SIGN UP for the Ro76 – the last chance to compete at one of the the biggest SC2 event to date. The competition is fierce and the stakes are high. Deadline for applying is January 31.
