It’s almost time for the LPL to defend their title at Rift Rivals: LCK vs. LPL vs. LMS.

Rift Rivals: LCK vs. LPL vs. LMS will take place on July 5-8, 2018 at the Dalian Sports Center Stadium in Dalian, China. Twelve teams — the top four Spring Split teams from each region — will compete for regional dominance.

Format

Group Stage

Teams will play against equally-ranked teams from each of the other regions in a Best of 1 Round Robin format (For example, rank 1 LCK will play against rank 1 LPL and rank 1 LMS). Ranking in this round is based on final standings from the Spring Split.

The region with the most wins coming out of group stage will advance to finals, while the other two regions will compete in Semifinals.

Knockout Stage

Semifinals

The regions that finish the Group Stage in second and third will face each other in a Best of 5 blind relay format, with team order determined by coaches from each region. Each team can play only once in the Best of 5 unless all teams in the region have already played.

Finals

The winning region from Semifinals will advance to face the #1 ranked region from Group Stage in a Best of 5 blind relay format. The team order will be determined by coaches from each region. Each team can play only once in the Best of 5 unless all teams in the region have already played.

Rift Rivals: LCK vs. LPL vs. LMS will be broadcast in English on Lolesports.com, July 5-8, 2018. Stay tuned for a more detailed match schedule!
