PLAY Expo Manchester 2017 – Only a few tickets left before it sells out

With tickets selling rapidly, PLAY Expo Manchester is set to light up EventCity on October 14th and 15 2017 thanks to an amazing array of events, exhibits, personalities and games set to thrill tens of thousands of visitors.

  • First Public UK Hands-On with NBA 2K18 & WWE 2K18

In another PLAY Expo first, 2K Games is also confirmed as attending, where NBA 2K18 and WWE 2K18 will be playable for the very first time to all attendees exclusively at the Machinima SBOC/UK stage. Fans will be able to grapple with the latest sports games on the PS4 which features updated rosters and brand-new game modes.

  • Yak’s Back! – Llamasoft® Legend Jeff Minter in The Mix!

Hirsute indie programmer, Jeff Minter of Llamasoft fame is set to make a big splash with two titles: Polybius and Tempest 4000. Polybius is fast trance shooter designed to bath players in a meditative state of mind as they get into the ‘zone’ awash with light and sound. By contrast, Tempest 4000 invites players to once again control their ‘Claw’ ship to destroy deadly creatures and other obstructions with rapid-fire shots on vibrant geometric prisms. With three game modes to choose from and 100 levels to conquer, players must eliminate all enemies as quickly as possible to survive and achieve that coveted spot at the top of the leader boards.

  • Lightseekers Mobile Phone Trading Card Game

Fans of augmented reality and trading cards are in for a real treat on their mobile phones with the announcement that brand new connected play experience, Lightseekers, will be available to play on the show floor. The game challenges players to unravel the mysteries of Tantos, with the added thrill of being able to connect to one of the Lightseekers smart digital action figures that interacts with you as you play such as offering advice during a battle or lighting up to help you with puzzles! Use powerful spells, creatures and items to defeat your opponent in head to head battles as you take on the role of one of Lightseekers powerful heroes

Bringing the total number of indies confirmed as attending to a staggering 35, PLAY Expo Manchester is set to be the biggest ever. Some of the additional Indie highlights promising to wow the crowds include:
