Feb. 23-25, Europe’s finest Spartans will take to the virtual battlefield to make one final push towards a berth in the HaloWC Finals in Seattle.

FORMAT

The EU HaloWC 2018 London Finals will feature open 4v4 and FFA tournaments for any players residing in Europe or the Middle East. The 4v4 tournament will qualify the top four teams for the HaloWC 2018 Finals in Seattle, Washington, via a 32-team, double elimination bracket. Matches will feature a combination of best of 5 and best of 7 matches.

FFA

Another exciting element of the HaloWC season is the addition of epic FFA showdowns, letting lone wolves prove themselves against top competition. As with every open event in the HaloWC 2018 season, the London Finals will feature a $5,000 FFA tournament taking place before the 4v4 tournament begins on Friday morning. The action from each FFA tournament throughout the season will culminate at the Halo 5 FFA @ HaloWC 2018 Finals in Seattle, WA on April 13-15 where 12 qualified players will duke it out for an additional $10,000.

TOP STORIES

  • Europe will be hoping to build on their strongest collective performance back at the HCS Fall 2017 season finals. Team Infused will once again be leading the way and looking to re-write history with an aim to not just make it back to the HaloWC Finals, but further improve on their historic Top 6 placing back in Denver. At the Orlando Open, they would fall just short of matching that mark, but look to make a statement at the London Finals to prove they are still the best in the region.
  • Infused’s nearest rivals Vexed will be looking to make a statement of their own, and with multiple online 2k wins already in the bag, they are looking stronger than ever – particularly with their recent acquisition of Snipedrone.
  • Alongside Infused and Vexed, four other teams made the journey across the ocean to Orlando with the aim of really making a name for themselves. Myztro Gaming, Fable, Endpoint and Mockit joined the fray as one of the strongest European contingents ever seen at a global event. By the end, Fable and Myztro had joined Infused and Vexed in the Orlando Open Champ Bracket, helping the EU field surpass overall expectations considering the depth of competition.

Best of luck to all teams and players competing this weekend, we can’t wait to see the action unfold! For all the latest on the Halo Championship Series and the Halo World Championship, keep it locked to Halo.gg and follow @HCS and @MLG on Twitter.
