Overwatch, Summer of Music

Music has always been an integral part of Overwatch, and we know our players are fans of it too. Earlier this week, Blizzard released the Overwatch: Cities & Countries soundtrack and launched the musically-themed Sigma’s Maestro Challenge in-game event– but they are taking Overwatch’s celebration of music even further.

Blizzard has teamed up with talented musical content creators from across Europe and asked them to come up with their own versions, mixes, or covers of the songs from Overwatch: Cities & Countries and other signature Overwatch sounds for our Summer of Music.

People with varying styles and backgrounds and different creative approaches will make their own riffs on the music of Overwatch. The wide range of talents includes:

      • Berywam, 2018 beatbox world champions and worldwide phenomenon following their appearance on the America’s Got Talent TV show in 2019
      • Creative British rock and metal guitarist Sophie Lloyd
      • Talented Austrian electronic dance music DJ and producer Sountec
      • Award-winning Belgian deep house DJ and producer Henri PFR
      • Virtuoso German keyboard player, arranger, and programmer Patrik Pietschmann
      • And many others!

You can find more information on all the participating creators in the official blog post [URL]. Throughout the next few weeks, these musicians will be publishing Overwatch content on their own channels, as the blog will be updated regularly as it rolls out.

Kicking off Summer of Music is an amazing beatbox performance from Berywam, who’ve put their own spin on the Overwatch various music themes.

The second Summer of Music video, a guitar medley from Sophie Lloyd, will be published next Friday, July 24.
