PC Gamer Weekender 2018 – 5 Reasons to Attend

The PC Gamer Weekender played on OMEN by HP is back by popular demand for a third year at London’s Olympia on February 17th and 18th 2018. Here are five great reasons to buy a ticket…

1. EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO NEW PC GAMES
The huge gaming area offers plenty of chances to experience the latest games, from hot pre-releases to super-cool indies and retro classics. New titles already confirmed for 2018 include:

Warhammer: Vermintide 2, this super-promising first person co-op vs. horde sequel will be playable at the PC Gamer Weekender. Try out two of the games hero careers, and battle through stunning levels while smashing hordes of enemies with a massive hammer or taking them down from a distance with a lethal crossbow.

Phoenix Point, the new strategy game from the creator of the original X-COM series. It features turn based tactics and world based strategy in a fight against a terrifying alien menace.

You’ll also find hybrid survival game, Rend, and management strategy game, Production Line where the objective is to grow your own car business. Crash Force, a multiplayer arena shooting game with RPG and racing elements where the player assumes the role of a hovercraft to annihilate their enemies, and new transport strategy game, Mashinsky, from Czech developer, Jan Zeleny.

Plus, Cobalt WASD, Mojang’s new multiplayer bomb-defusal action platformer with grenades that stop time. Open-world, post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG Biomutant, RTS/RPG hybrid SpellForce 3, turn-based strategy game Frozen Synapse 2, action/strategy game MetaMorph: Dungeon Creatures, puzzle-platformer Shift Quantum, and team-based online game Guns of Icarus Alliance. Finally, pull on your boots, fire up your tractor, and cultivate success in immersive agricultural simulator Real Farm.

2. DEVELOPER TALKS
The PC Gamer Weekender stages will once again play host to a number of developers behind some of your favourite games. Never-seen-before footage will be shown along with exclusive live interviews and exciting reveals. Developers so far confirmed to host presentations include Creative Assembly on A Total War Saga: THRONES OF BRITANNIA; Fatshark on Warhammer: Vermintide 2; Mojang on Minecraft in 2018 and Subset Games on Into The Breach.

3. PC WORKSHOPS WITH TOM LOGAN
Looking to upgrade your kit or learn more about perfecting your set up. These in-depth workshops led by YouTuber Tom Logan of OC3D and others, will look at some of the improvements you can make to your PC, no matter what your experience level is.

4. THE OMEN BY HP BOOTCAMP
This Bootcamp will focus on every element of Blizzard’s fast-firing shooter, Overwatch. Join sessions and masterclasses hosted by the best players in the country, including Mark ‘Valkia’ Purdy, Sacriel and members of the Overwatch World Cup UK Team – Realzx and Kruise.
