The countdown has begun to when the best professional Quake Champions players in the world will battle in the inaugural Quake World Championships Finals at QuakeCon in Dallas, TX, starting on August 24th. At stake – their share of the $1 million dollar prize pool and a place amongst the legends of esports’ founding franchise.
AMD has partnered with Bethesda Softworks as the title sponsor for the Quake World Championships, helping to bring to life the world’s most intense esports competition both live on stage for the QuakeCon faithful and broadcast to the world via livestream.

About the Quake World Championships Finals at QuakeCon
After weeks of intense global qualifying matches in the Quake World Championships, eight of the world’s best Quake esports teams have earned a spot in the Sacrifice Finals and 24 elite individual fraggers have punched their tickets for QuakeCon’s Duel Finals. An additional eight Duel Finalists will earn their spots by fighting through the Open Competition to be held in the Bring-Your-Own-Computer (BYOC) area of QuakeCon.
QuakeCon attendees will also have an opportunity to check out all of the latest AMD tech in the AMD booth in the QuakeCon exhibit hall, Aug 24-26 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas, TX.
