The final round of the 2020 Overwatch League playoffs completed today in exciting fashion, with the league’s 2020 MVP announced and the four teams advancing to 2020 Grand Finals set.
Byung-sun “Fleta” Kim, damage player for the Shanghai Dragons, was named 2020 T-Mobile Overwatch League MVP for his star performance on a variety of damage heroes over the course of the regular season in helping the Dragons to the best record in the league.
All 20 teams will have the opportunity to qualify for the postseason. Matches will be held online and will again be split between two divisions, with 13 teams playing in North America, and seven in Asia. In a weekend full of upsets, it was the Paris Eternal and the Guangzhou Charge left standing in the Overwatch League’s Summer Showdown tournaments. Paris won the North American tournament Sunday night by taking down the Philadelphia Fusion in a back-and-forth seven-map match.
