GINX Esports TV, the leading esports TV channel, announced that Julia “Bish” Robson, pro-player and live streamer, joins the team as the Esports Correspondent for Africa.
Julia’s appointment comes hot on the heels of GINX Esports TV launching a dedicated feed in Africa where the channel is carried by DStv (channel 240) for South Africa.
In this new role, Julia will help GINX Esports TV develop its reach in Africa and ensure the local community has a voice on the linear 24/7 channel. Julia will help GINX Esports TV into the next phase of its growth in a key market for the channel.
At the time of the initial launch in June last year, Michiel Bakker, CEO of GINX Esports TV said:
“We can expect to see more and more esports content coming out of Africa this year and GINX is keen to play a key part in bringing that content to audiences in Africa and the rest of the world.”
This new appointment is one of the initiatives the channel is taking to help promote esports in Africa. Julia’s experience of the African esports scene will help GINX Esports TV give deeper coverage to local events on both GINX Esports TV and GINX Esports TV Africa.
“I am very excited to represent GINX Esports TV in Africa as our gaming scene is doing so much for the players. It is time to focus on highlighting these achievements!”
