The first MotoGPTM eSport Championship is on. There will be six online races, and only the sixteen fastest riders will reach the live final event, which will take place at the Valencia GP. The top three will take home prizes that are already the envy of many.

Everyone on the starting grid, the world’s first MotoGP™ eSport Championship is about to commence. Dorna Sports has announced the calendar, the tracks, the riders, the weather conditions and the prizes at stake in the revolutionary Championship set in the fast-paced world of racing. Consoles on and controllers in hand, the challenge will take place in the official MotoGP™17 videogame
We start with the Jerez GP in Spain: from 27th July to 6th August, the thousands of fans in contention will play at home, flying at full speed on the seat of Marc Marquez’s Honda, with the aim of recording the best time and being the absolute fastest. In the following race of the MotoGP™ eSport Championship, the most daring will find themselves riding the KTM of Pol Espargarò in dry conditions at Spielberg in Austria, from 10th to 20th August. After that in conjunction with the official calendar of MotoGP™, from 24th August to 3rd September, it will be the turn of the Silverstone Circuit in Great Britain: here players will ride in wet conditions, with the Aprilia from Team Gresini’s Sam Lowes. From 7th to 17th September, Italian players will have a notable advantage, challenging all the world’s players directly at Misano, on the circuit dedicated to the unforgettable Marco Simoncelli, on the seat of the Ducati of Jorge Lorenzo. Then from 21st September to 1st October, players can finally put themselves in the place of the legendary VR46 (Valentino Rossi) and ride his powerful Yamaha around the sharp turns of Aragon in Spain. To finish, from 12th to 22nd October, we race in dry conditions at Phillip Island in Australia to end with a bang these six qualification races on the Suzuki of Andrea Iannone from Abruzzo.
The 16 fastest players will participate in the final to prove their abilities in the very first live MotoGP™ eSport Championship. The first- and second-placed players of the first two races, a total of 4 players, will take part, as will the top three of the remaining four challenges, that is another 12 players. The event will be live from the Valencia circuit in Spain, coinciding with the last race of the MotoGP™, from 10th to 12th November. The event will be transmitted live by Dorna Sports’ television partners, with prizes that are the envy of many: the first-placed player will take home a BMW M240i, second place wins a KTM RC 390, and third place wins a Smart TV. |
